Etant donné un germe de morphisme analytique complexe à fibre réduite, nous étudions la manière dont la courbure de Lipschitz-Killing de la fibre de Milnor pour la métrique induite par celle de se concentre asymptotiquement, lorsque , dans l'intersection de cette fibre avec des boules dont les centres peuvent être décrits mais surtout dont les rayons sont de la forme où les des nombres rationnels dont la collection ne dépend que de la topologie du plongement dans du germe de courbe plane réduite . A remark on gauge symmetries in Ising spin glasses

This paper studies a particular line in the parameter space of the FK random interaction random cluster model for spin glasses following Katsura ([K]) and Mazza ([M]). We show that, after averaging over the random couplings, the occupied FK bonds have exactly a Bernoulli distribution. Comparison with explicit calculations on trees confirms the marginal role of FK percolation in determining phase transitions. Received: 1 October 1997 / Revised version: 18 May 1998     

The Linear-Array Conjecture in Communication Complexity Is False

linear array network consists of k+1 processors with links only between and (0≤i<k). It is required to compute some boolean function f(x,y) in this network, where initially x is stored at and y is stored at . Let be the (total) number of bits that must be exchanged to compute f in worst case. Clearly, , where D(f) is the standard two-party communication complexity of f. Tiwari proved that for almost all functions and conjectured that this is true for all functions. In this paper we disprove Tiwari's conjecture, by exhibiting an infinite family of functions for which is essentially at most . Our construction also leads to progress on another major problem in this area: It is easy to bound the two-party communication complexity of any function, given the least number of monochromatic rectangles in any partition of the input space. How tight are such bounds? We exhibit certain functions, for which the (two-party) communication complexity is twice as large as the best lower bound obtainable this way. 抗肿瘤缺氧诱导因子-1的小分子抑制剂

肿瘤的缺氧微环境与其增殖、分化、血管生成、能量代谢、耐药性的发生以及患者预后状况密切相关。缺氧诱导因子1(Hypoxia-inducible factor 1, HIF-1)是细胞适应缺氧环境的重要转录因子和调控蛋白,通过调控下游靶基因如EPO、VEGF、GLUT等的表达,促进血管新生及有氧糖酵解以适应缺氧的环境,进而影响肿瘤细胞代谢、血管生成和肿瘤转移等。因此,开发以HIF-1为靶标的小分子抑制剂药物有望成为一种有效的肿瘤治疗方法。本文就HIF-1小分子抑制剂在肿瘤学研究中的进展进行综述,旨在为靶向HIF-1抗肿瘤药物的研发提供新思路。

Autoradiographische Untersuchungen zur Vermisechung von Baustoffkomponenten

Die Feinverteilung des Kalkes im Kalk-Quarzsand-Gemisch ist eine notwendige Bedingung fur hohe erreichbare Festigkeit der Silikatbaustoffe. Vergleiehende Untersuchungen über die Kalkverteilung an neutronenaktivierten feinkörnigen Baustoffproben mit Hilfe von Szintillationsmessungen des ⁴⁷Ca-Gehaltes und mittels autoradiographischer Darstellung der Kalkverteilung in kleinen Prüfkörpern unter Ausnützung der relativ weichen β-Strahlung des ⁴⁵Ca ergaben, daβ die autoradiographischen Aussagen über die Homogenität der Proben am besten mit den Festigkeitsiwerten der Prüfkörper korrespondieren.     

A Parallel 3D Unsteady Flow Analysis in an Asymmetrically Constricted Vessel

In this study, parallel computation of unsteady incompressible flow in an asymmetrically constricted 3D vessel has been presented. A time accurate cell centered finite volume method (FVM) in conjunction with pseudo-compressibility technique and Roe's flux difference splitting of nonlinear terms has been employed for solving the Navier-Stokes (NS) equations on the multiple instruction multiple data (MIMD) machine VPP700. The influence of Reynolds' number ( Re ) and the Strouhal number ( St ) on flow dynamic factors like wall pressure (WP), wall shear stress (WSS), central axis velocity (CAV), etc., have been analyzed. Three-dimensional (3D) features in the formation and detachment of separation zones, which are sensitive to both Re and St have been noticed on the diverging wall of the constriction.
